There’s a lot that goes into the perfect wedding. For some, it’s as detailed and complicated as a major industrial project. That’s why it’s good Priya Mehandru has an engineering degree under her belt, so she can handle any wedding through her company InVogue Wedding and Events. She also applies lessons from her previous career to her current one. “Weddings are as close to a project management position in any other industry” says Priya. “There’s timelines, there’s schedules you’re trying to follow, there’s all this organizational data you have to put together.”
Being analytical does not mean InVogue is not creative. They will work with their clients to execute their ideal day. “We involve our clients in the creative parts but not the laborious and time consuming details,” says Priya. “They don’t have to worry about the itsy-bitsy details. They are not involved in that, but they are involved in the creative aspects. They tell us what their vision is and we try to bring that to reality.” InVogue’s specialty is South Asian weddings but they have the people to pull off any style of wedding you can imagine.
