By providing the full range of hard-to-pack baby necessities, Wee Travel has been making it easier for international and domestic travellers to Vancouver to pack lighter since 2005. The company has also made it more convenient for grandparents across the city to take care of little ones.

“My husband and I are big travellers with our children, so I've been brainstorming about how to make things easier and how to pass that knowledge on to other parents for quite some time,” says Helene deMonye, the uber-planner who leapt at the opportunity to take ownership of this well-established baby equipment rental company in early 2014.

“It really was a perfect scenario: being a traveller and having two small children, this is right up my alley. It’s something that when we recently travelled to Europe, we wished was available to us,” says Helene, citing the challenges that travelling with children can present. “You want to travel light and you don’t want to spend all that money on luggage, but when you travel with young children, you also want some of the conveniences of home, but obviously you can’t take that with you.”
