Arrayed on top of the noodles in orderly rows are the pork, shrimp and a darkly crisp spring roll, along with strips of vinegared carrot and daikon, shredded cucumber, fresh mint leaves and bean sprouts. Nuoc cham sauce arrives on the side in a pretty little star shaped ramekin. The aroma of the grilled pork tantalizes. I live near Queen and Spadina and have had some difficulty with finding decent low-medium priced sushi. Toshi is across from where I take spin class and I noticed that the sign indicated that the chef was Japanese so I decided to try it out. I found the fish to be fresh, the restaurant to be clean and the service to be attentive. They service appropriately sized rolls and nigiri, as opposed to the giant pieces that many other establishments serve (this is a good think IMO). Mandarin is a really excellent place to eat a buffet. They are really kind to you and free refills (water, coke). They give you these mint candy after your visit for free. If you tell them that it is your birthday, they give you a cake piece, sing the happy birthday song and a free picture. Also, they have decorations for you to enjoy and they keep the place very neat. I like how they make food and name the food it’s specific name. The names also say if it is sugar-free, and if it is spicy. They have specific rooms that they assign you to eat and the sign tells you what room it is (Room A, Room b .etc.). The employes are really nice and when you come in, they make you feel welcomed (unless if the lineup is really long and people have reservations). After you are done with your food, you can just leave your plate on your table. You can get a new plate with food on it so you do not have to use the same plate over and over again. In conclusion, you should really go to Mandarin. It is a really excellent buffet to go to. It has crab legs right now and they are really expensive to buy at a store. They have a variety of foods and make their own combinations of foods which is really good. Pros: -Great Service -Free Refills (for certain drinks) -Nice employees -Free mints at the end -Have decorations Cons: -Takes not too long to refill food -Need to make reservations -2 hour limit -Not too many tables Lire plus

This Mandarin is still pretty new and clean inside so that is definately a big plus if cleaniness is important to you. The food selection is pretty good and some dishes are actually pretty good.
