The ambience of The Old Settler is classic log cabin Canadian, with a big fireplace and a great wood smell. They are well known for their burgers, which are huge (they don't mind giving you two plates to share) and tasty. On this occasion, I had prime rib (usually a special on weekends), which was tender and juicy. It came with the usual baked potato and all the fixings. My husband had the burger and it was great, too.
Service is fast and professional. They seem to hang onto their help. A note for people from out-of-province. The Old Settler is a pub, and pub laws don't allow minors on the premises, so families can't eat there.
