After a career managing hotel chains in Asia and Europe, Paris-born Franck Point decided on a U-turn: move to Vancouver and start his own French bakery and pastry shop. “We love Vancouver, and we saw there was an opportunity, a niche,” he says. “We wanted to bring people an authentic Parisian experience they can have right here.”
The name Faubourg nods to the central role of baked goods in French culture. “Faubourg” is the term given to villages outlying medieval French cities — one of which, Faubourg Ste. Antoine, was famous as the cradle of the French Revolution when protestors rose up against high bread taxes. “This was when Louis XVI still had his head on his body,” Franck says with laugh. “We’re told Marie Antoinette said, ‘Let them eat cake,’ and that was when it all started.”

A white chocolate rum bavarois encases a layer of raspberry gelée and fresh raspberries that is placed upon a decadent chocolate cake base.
Passion Berry Mousse Cake
This summery cake consists of three delicious layers including passionfruit mousse infused with pomegranate and blueberry white tea, along with vanilla cream and raspberry honey gelée all set on a crunchy sablé breton.
Traditional baguette:
The most famous of the French breads Faubourg has to offer. We prepare in accordance to strict French culinary traditions employing the classic Parisian recipe: flour, water, levin, salt and time-honored know-how.
Fig and walnut :
Tasty walnuts and healthy dried figs are combined in this all natural bread. The figs may be dried, but are not dried out. They are marinated for a few hours with spices to bring this exclusive flavor.
Garlic and Cheese:
Our Classic French Bread enriched with Garlic And Thyme. Swiss & Cheddar cheese cubes are spaced throughout to create this savoury loaf.
Olive Fougasse:
A Tradition French bread, sculpted to resemble an ear of wheat.

Campagne
A rustic recipe from the French countryside a classic staple of the French table in villages and families all over France. The Campagne is a blend of white and rye flour, which is a heartier beard offering than its traditional counterpart.
Multi seeds
A Rich texture and slightly sweet, the multi seeds loaf contains poppy, sesame, sunflower, pumpkin and flax seeds. Oat bran, plus all the grains, are mixed with the dough and slowly kneaded to release their genuine taste.
Whole Wheat
Faubourgs Whole Wheat loaf a rich loaf made with 50% whole wheat flour & 50% white flour.
Braided Brioche Loaf
Created from our Brioche recipe, this loaf is a sweet hit- not just for its appearance but its flavor too.

Bordeaux Canele:
This delicious cake is coated in caramelized sugar to complement the warm rum-flavoured custardy insides. Practically bite-sized, these tasty treats beg for you to eat more than one.
