We have been coning to this restaurant for the past 4 years and have always had a great experience. Anytime we just want a nice quiet meal alone or going out with a few friends it's the first place we think of going. It's a no brainer! food it always great, servers are friendly and fun. My husband always has the Rib Steak and I love the fish no matter what kind they have that night, it's always fresh and delicious. My friend had the seafood pasta and her husband had the New York and they both loved their meals.
I tried this restaurant because of a friends recommendation and I was not disappointed. The food was great and the service friendly and helpful. I thanked my friend for recommending this restaurant to me and will definitley pass on the word to others about this great place to eat.
We had never been to this restaurant but live in the area and had 2 for 1 entree coupons so thought we should try it. Whe we made reservations we informed that we would like to use the 2/1 for both couples and were told no problem. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and we were told only one coupon per table. We said we would sit at another table (the place is so small it made no difference if our table was separated). The waitress said don't worry about it!! Then the bill came and she refused to accept both coupons. No manager on site so we asked her to call one by telephone. When speaking to the manager she was as stubborn as the waitress! We made it clear that the $$ was no longer the issue but the fact that we were lied to by the person who took the reservation and then mislead by the waitress. Although we still did tip, we would not go back. It is sad the they must be doing so poorly that they have to resort to such lengths to get business.
I am writing this review over a year later (just found this site). I suggested this restaurant to my sister as we were trying to decide on a restaurant to celebrate her husband's birthday in. They drove all the way from Markham based on our recommendation. We'd been here three or four times before and each time we enjoyed it. This time though we ended up upstairs, all by ourselves. Literally, for the entire night. Our waitress was nowhere to be found - it was apparent it was too much of an effort for her to come up and refill drink orders, or ask us if we wanted a refill on our coffee or dessert. We got the impression she just wanted us the heck out of there. It was incredibly embarrassing. We won't be back.
The food at this restaurant is always good, but they are weak when it comes to delivering everyones food at one time. As is custom for polite people, we wanted to wait until all four of us received our entrees before we started to eat. We ended up starting before the fourth person in our group received there food as our plates were getting cold! This turned everyone off a bit. We chatted for a while as we enjoyed our bottle of wine, and the waitress actually started taking everything off of our table without asking! It was apparently near closing time and I guess she wanted to give us a strong hint. Why could she not just say "We are closing soon"? Also, I feel that they should include some sort of a small salad to justify their high price per entree.
