Having lived in Georgetown for 30 years 'The House of Budah' was hard to beat. It was definitely the BEST chinese food around and we used to order take-out once a month along with going for lunch every other week. BUT things have changed in the last year and I don't know why except that they have lost key staff. It used to be that there was rarely, if ever, a mistake with the food. Now I have given up going there for all of the mistakes they have made...from nuts in food when told specifically about allergies, wrong order entirely when the restaurant was very slow, to a pebble from the fish tank in my fried rice. We have given up and won't be back but it once was the best around.
It's great chinese food. We had our first date there 8 years ago, we are now married and we consider it the ONLY chinese food in town!

Authentic tasting Chinese food. Best lemon chicken and won ton soup available. Lots of food that is freshly made.
Atmosphere is clean, but basic. Food and service make up for ambiance!!!

That's why we have been coming a few times a year for the last 7 years. The food is fantastic and very reasonable. It's a great place for us girls to catch up on what's happening in our lives.
